QUALIFICATION
In October 2005 South Africa qualified directly as one of the 5 continental champions winning the African Cup of Nations. In the finals they prevailed against Egypt with 3:2.
COACH
Paul Revington aged 32 became coach of the senior men team in 2003. Before that he had coached the U 21 team. His team achieved the 8th place at the Commonwealth Games in March 2006.
